Tipping Point (my Agentic Workflows devlog…)

Breadcrumbing my journey to a team of robots making me rich while I sleep. Or, perhaps: “How I Use AI Agents to Build Agentic Pipelines in 2026, yadda yadda search terms…” (WIP)

I’ve become acutely aware of this tipping point1 we’ve arrived at:

AI coding agents are redefining the craft of building software. Good? Bad? idk.

Fundamentally and forever changed? You bet.

First Thought

Here’s Jorge Manrubia, of 37Signals ilk, closing out his ‘Back to the starting line‘ post:

Learning and improving should be lifelong goals for anyone. Seeing a green field ahead in your discipline is energizing.
Back to the starting line to walk it.

Immediately after — like, literally; the very next post in my feed — I notice Kasper Junge (@kasperjunge.bsky.social) also talking of this tipping point, in this post on LI (in danish.)

Passive Looking

Soon enough, I find myself glued to the floor, as venerable g i a n t s in our field chime in, one after the other, as if taking turns ringing in a new dawn: All essentially arriving at the same conclusion:

Things done changed, yo #tippingpoint

We’re talking noble royalty here; Grand Champions out in full force. The likes of eg. Karpathy, DHH, Linus, Kent Beck, Simon Wardley, et al — all wholly on board; none deterred, die-hard skeptics apparently disbanded. And, seemingly, no issues to raise, no caveats flagged. (…environmental concerns notwithstanding. sigh. 😑)

Indeed, them juggernauts seem to be getting that EXTRA-EXTRA yield from these tools, leveraging their unique expertise to the fullest 🫡

Cray.

MUST-WATCH: 27 Patterns of Augmented Coding with Agentic AI in Claude Code

Next, I took the time to fully absorb this dual-hour webinar bonafide masterclass, from Lada Kesseler (@lexler.bsky.social), ℅ Calgary Software Crafters on YT.

In which every stone turned, each lesson learned from their forays into Claude Code are relayed with perfect clarity and maximum impact.

This! is education, folks:

Best ELI5 ever?

Active Looking

Teresa Torres (@producttalk.bsky.social) also fast caught my attention on LinkedIn:

A full, 6(!)-part, walkthrough instant upgrade, on using Claude Code like a boss:

producttalk.org/claude-code-what-it-is-and-how-its-different

VRRROOOOOOOOOOOM 🌪️

Nail, meet head:

What Claude Code enabled me to do this week is not incremental improvement. It’s categorical change.

And that’s putting it mildly 😮‍💨

Days+hours, not weeks+months

I mean, LOOK AT THIS:

(…also, Obie’s BEEN putting in work, c/f: Roast — Structured AI workflows made easy)

Deciding on a solution

Full dislosure: This is now me entering the realm of endless bike sheds to be painted. IMHO, YMMV…

Bear with me, as I take a moment to hear from our sponsors briefly succumb to my amygdala:

Choices & trade-offs, atp:

(…as opposed to, y’know, maybe just picking one and get on with it, ed.)

  • Make & Model — should I go with OpenCode? Run models inside of Cursor? Hell, even commit and fully return to VS Code? Maybe I simply rawdog each CLI separately?
  • Subscription Plan — (whooo, OpenCode appears to come loaded with free stuff 🤔)
  • Codex? gpt-5.2? Opus? Sonnet? Planning? Build mode? Sub-agents?
